Clearly not 21

Shirt: Banana Republic, Sweater: Ross, Jeans: Banana Republic, Belt: Thrifted, Feather Earrings: F21 (similar)
While at the mall last night, I mentioned to the hubby that I wanted to stop by a store to check something out. When we got to the store, and he realized what store I was actually talking about, he took one look at me, laughed, told me I'm too old to shop there, and proceeded to mock me the rest of the time we were shopping. Perhaps Forever 21 is for high school teeny boppers, but where else am I supposed to get feather earrings for a whopping $3?

Stealing feathers off of the birds in our backyard isn't an option.

Why I actually needed feather earrings is beyond me, but after seeing them in the store last weekend, I couldn't get my mind off of them. And that right there means it's ok to go back and buy, it clearly wasn't impulsive. The giraffe shirt wouldn't have been either, but unfortunately (or fortunately), I couldn't find it in the store. I think my hubby is grateful for that. He was kind of hoping for rhino's instead.

So, to punish him---yes, sometimes 27 year olds need punishing--for all of his mockery tonight, I cheated by making this for dinner instead of something homemade and delicious. Sadly, I don't think he minded one bit.

Is your clothing challenge still going on? How long is it?

Ha! A few years ago I made fun of Lorena so much for going to that store that she stopped going.

ha ha ha How did He like it??? Funny thing, I didn't notice the feathers until After I read your blog and then I went back and looked again. They blended in so well, they're very cute!

Forever 21, American Eagle, Abercrombie, and Hollister--all should not be worn by anyone older than 21 in my opinion. But, again, I know nothing about fashion.

Cute outfit, by the way. I sure wish you lived by me so we could trade clothes. Although, now that I think of it, I have no idea what you would possibly like that I own. :)

Oh, that comment that said it was from Joy (aka Mom) was really from me. Mom doesn't know how to sign out of things.

I totally shop at Forever 21. Luckily my husband knows NOTHING about clothing stores or the average age of those who shop there, so he doesn't know that he could make fun of me for shopping there. Perhaps you could turn this around and tease him for knowing a little too much about Forever 21 himself ;) Those earrings are REALLY cute, and such a great price. Almost all of my jewelry comes from that store!

I love shopping in F21, mainly for accessories, but I always feel a little self-conscious wandering through with my thirty-something self and my three year old (who is usually the only small child in the store!). Eh, cheap, but fab accessories are always worth a little self-consciousness. Thankfully, my hubs is utterly clueless about stores and clothes and therefor does not mock. Nor does he shop. I'm not sure if that makes me lucky or not. :)'

Love the outfit and the earrings are great!

That is the beauty of online shopping;) I still shop there when I am at the mall though. I am loving your jeans. I have been looking for that same style so off to Banana Republic I go.
